FTI Consulting is Honoured with Three Recognitions at the Turnaround Atlas Awards, Including “Distressed Investments Transaction of the Year (Large)” for Celsa’s Group Restructuring

Sergio Vélez, Head of FTI Consulting in Spain, has been recognized with the “Leadership & Professionals in Restructuring Award (Consultant category)”

Madrid, Oct. 2, 2025 – FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) received three international distinctions from the prestigious Turnaround Atlas Awards at a gala held in New York:

• “Global Turnaround Consulting Firm of the Year”, awarded to FTI Consulting for the 10^th time in this category
• “Distressed Investments Transaction of the Year (Large)”, an award highlighting the firm’s restructuring work for the Catalan steel company Celsa
• “Leadership & Professionals in Restructuring Award (Consultant category)”, a distinction awarded to Sergio Vélez

The Turnaround Atlas Awards annually recognize the world’s leading firms, professionals, and transactions in the fields of restructuring, insolvency, and distressed investing. The distinctions “Global Turnaround Consulting Firm of the Year” and “Distressed Investments Transaction of the Year (Large)” underscore the role FTI Consulting plays in these transactions, as well as the key contribution of the Spanish restructuring and turnaround team in Celsa’s case. In this case, the firm supported the creditors of the Catalan company during the takeover through a non-consensual restructuring plan in line with the new restructuring and homologation regulations in the country.

FTI Consulting experts served in interim roles as executives of the company, enabling a secure transition to new C-suite roles appointed by the new board. The firm also oversaw corporate communications related to the designations of a new President and CEO; while eDiscovery and Forensic & Litigation teams worked to understand Celsa’s IT infrastructure and launched an investigation into key matters.
