Hrvoje Muhek specializes in supporting and guiding stakeholders with respect to proposed reorganizations and business transformation efforts. Mr. Muhek’s expertise includes developing integrated three-way and 13-week cash flow models, preparing complex financial analyses, developing managerial reporting packages and tools and performing financial due diligence. Most recently, Mr. Muhek provided interim financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) management support to a $1 billion in revenues global industrial manufacturing client undergoing significant business transformation efforts triggered by a change in ownership.
Mr. Muhek has far-reaching experience serving as a trusted finance partner to business operations and is skilled at working cross-functionally to assist the management in improving overall business performance. He is experienced in developing managerial reporting tools and implementing processes designed to align operations and finance, safeguard the company’s assets, improve performance and support reliable reporting. Mr. Muhek also has significant experience with the preparation of operating and capital budgets and project feasibility studies.
Mr. Muhek’s restructuring experience has consisted of advising debtors and lenders during times of financial distress, including assessing and developing business plans and forecasts, negotiating with and managing stakeholders and developing and implementing formal reorganization plans.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Muhek was the General Manager and Director of FP&A for Canadian operations of a global hospitality chain.
Relevant Experience:
- As an Interim FP&A Director for a global manufacturer of industrial machinery undergoing an extensive business transformation, Mr. Muhek improved the company’s monthly forecasting process, developed standardized managerial reporting packages for core segments and operations, prepared several complex financial feasibility assessments to support key strategic initiatives, and supported the company in preparation of global operations budget.
- As the General Manager and Director of FP&A for Canadian operations of a global hospitality chain, Mr. Muhek was responsible for the full P&L, operations, and support functions of the business. He led the implementation of numerous revenue growth and cost reduction measures, developed several new functional roles to support operational leaders, and led the implementation of a new Point-of-Sales system.
