Yeray Pérez has more than 15 years of experience in economic consulting in microeconomic and financial analysis applied to the electricity and gas sectors. Yeray’s expertise includes arbitration and litigation procedures, due diligence and regulatory proposals. He has experience in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Yeray is the leader of the Energy practice in Spain. He has provided regulatory and policy support to utilities, regulators, law firms and investors in cases involving market design, regulation of energy networks, assessment of damages, valuation of assets, competition law and tariff design.
Yeray’s experience includes recommendations on wholesale electricity market reform in Greece, competition compliance in the day-ahead electricity market in Spain and regulatory and competition assessment of the secondary reserve market in Portugal. He has also participated in numerous arbitration cases involving energy networks, renewable plants, liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) and natural gas contracts.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Yeray worked for The Brattle Group, NERA Economic Consulting, AFRY and Iberdrola.
