About Edward
Edward P. Goodwin Jr. is part of the Financial Communications team, based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Goodwin specializes in providing strategic communications and research-driven counsel to companies driving disruptive innovation in established industries, as well as to companies navigating the capital markets in emerging sectors.
Mr. Goodwin’s recent experience includes advising a client in the emerging NewSpace sector through its special purpose acquisition company (“SPAC”) transaction to a successful public listing; redefining the corporate positioning and equity narrative for a client disrupting the power semiconductor industry; and providing strategic counsel to a global crypto exchange as it prepares to list publicly.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Goodwin was a Senior Vice President at 2U, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed education technology company, where he served as Investor Relations Officer (“IRO”) and a member of the executive team. There, he was responsible for developing and executing the over-arching strategy supporting all external disclosures. During his time as IRO, he helped raise more than $1.5 billion in proceeds across multiple equity and debt offerings. The 2U team was named Institutional Investor’s #2 Best Investor Relations Program for the midcap Software sector in 2018.
Mr. Goodwin graduated with an M.B.A. in Management from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He also studied at The George Washington University and received a B.A. in International Affairs.
