Justin Zhuang

Justin Zhuang specializes in supply chain and data analytics. He has 25 years of consulting and industry experience, including data modeling and analytics; integrated end-to-end supply chain modeling and planning; inventory planning and optimization; sales and operations planning (“S&OP”); and supply chain strategy development. His additional industry experience includes electronics, construction, manufacturing, energy and healthcare.

Mr. Zhuang’s performance improvement experience includes developing models and optimization tools and performing statistical analysis (including Monte Carlo simulations) to support decision-making for clients in energy, consumer products, construction and other industries. He also worked in multiple phases of a global transformation effort at a number of North American retailers, including implementing S&OP processes to improve customer service and optimize inventory.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Zhuang was a Senior Director in the Corporate Performance Improvement practice at Alvarez & Marsal. Previously, Mr. Zhuang was a Principal Supply Chain Logistics Analyst with a medical devices company. He has also worked in the supply chain practices of Accenture and PwC.

Mr. Zhuang is fluent in Chinese.

Relevant Experience:

• Supported the carve-out of a client’s North American business as part of a merger with $80 billion enterprise value, focused in areas of operational reliability, assets, revenue and working capital
• Developed new store-level inventory and replenishment planning process and performed data-based supply chain performance analysis for a 500-store pharmacy chain in Saudi Arabia
• Optimized store labor and operations for retailers with network of up to 1,000 stores, implementing new supply chain planning processes
• Performed operational assessment for U.S. and Japan-based companies in retail, technology, media and food industries and proposed recommendations to improve clients’ supply chain operations
• Developed supply chain strategy and supported lean sigma operational improvement efforts for a life sciences company, focusing on capacity planning, inventory management and new product development
