About Ronak
Ronak Patel specializes in providing financial advisory services to companies and their secured and unsecured creditors in the United States through both in- and out-of-court processes. He has more than 10 years of experience and has served as an advisor in many aspects of strategic and financial restructuring across a diverse range of industries which include aviation, restaurants, healthcare, manufacturing, metals and mining, distribution, real estate, government solutions and energy services.
Mr. Patel’s experience includes business plan due diligence, developing recovery/liquidation analyses, liquidity forecasting and assessment, buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, stakeholder negotiations and evaluation of strategic alternatives.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Patel held positions in investment banking with Alvarez & Marsal Securities and Kroll Investment Banking, focusing on restructuring and M&A. Prior to that, Mr. Patel was with Bank of America Business Capital, the bank’s asset-based lending arm.
Mr. Patel holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Boston University. Mr. Patel previously held the FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
Relevant Experience:- Represented the administrative agent and lenders of a $900 million revolving credit facility (“RCF”) in connection with a debt financing and exchange transaction by GEO Group
- Represented an ad hoc group of first and second-lien lenders of CHC Group in connection with an out-of-court exchange
- Represented an ad hoc group of first-lien lenders in the Waypoint Leasing chapter 11 cases with liabilities in excess of $1.1 billion
- Represented an ad hoc group of holders of $305 million senior secured notes and debtor-in-possession lenders in the Real Alloy chapter 11 cases
- Represented an ad hoc group of holders of $220 million senior secured notes of FloWork International in connection with an exchange transaction
- Represented an ad hoc group of holders of $110 million senior secured notes of Sierra Hamilton in connection with new money financing and an out-of-court transaction
- Represented an ad hoc group of holders of $125 million senior secured notes of Iracore International in connection with new money financing and a debt-to-equity exchange transaction
