Anna Foli is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance practice based in Denver. Ms. Foli has more than 12 years of corporate and advisory combined experience leading strategic planning and execution of business transformation, performance improvement, merger integration and carve-out across multiple industries.
Ms. Foli designs strategies and executes cross-functional plans to drive organic and inorganic growth through mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) and improvements to revenue, profitability, processes and overall performance. She solves complex business challenges by leveraging her dynamic background managing, collaborating with or influencing at all levels of an organization and across all functions. Her specialty includes standing up and leading a Project Management Office for Integrations, Carve Outs and Enterprise Transformations. Ms. Foli provides a unique viewpoint on best practices, common pain points and critical risks of initiative planning and execution phases. She helps her clients implement strong governance, identify key risks early, create appropriate mitigation plans and facilitate cross-functional communication, placing practicality and the employee experience front and center of her execution.
During her time at FTI Consulting, Ms. Foli co-lead the buy-side carve-out of an $830 million power plant from a major energy company to a standalone entity under a $40 billion global private equity (“PE”) firm as part of the Transition Management Office (“TMO”). She established the Integration Management Offices (“IMO”) and led all pre- and post-close integration activities for a $130 million software solution PE-owned firm and a $180 million business unit of a $4 billion global industrial technology company. She led carve-out diligence assessments for an “energy as a service” joint venture and created a standalone target operating model inclusive of bottom-up cost structures for the post Transition Services Agreement (“TSA”) entity. Ms. Foli also evaluated and advised on various performance improvement opportunities including organizational assessments and benchmarking for multiple PE-owned businesses.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Foli held various senior strategic and operational roles in private equity held and publicly traded international companies, where she’s driven $40 million of revenue and profit growth through comprehensive business plans for countries, local markets and global product lines. In her corporate roles, she completed more than $100 million of M&A ventures across all phases of a deal cycle and built enterprise M&A programs. Ms. Foli led multiple operations, logistics, sales and customer service teams through full organizational redesigns, process improvements and new technology implementations. She served as strategic advisor and trusted thought partner to two Managing Directors who oversaw a $650 million business unit and a global temperature control product line.
Ms. Foli holds an M.B.A. and a B.S.B.A from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. She is a certified Project Management Professional (“PMP”) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She is also part of the Project Management Institute (“PMI”) and an honorary member of the International Women’s Forum (“IWF”).
