Larry Stone is a member of FTI Capital Advisors, FTI Consulting’s wholly owned investment banking subsidiary. Mr. Stone brings more than 25 years of capital markets and transaction advisory expertise across a range of industry sectors including conventional and renewable power generation, infrastructure, project finance, manufacturing and business services.
Mr. Stone’s work focuses on assisting companies in transition including strategic acquisitions and divestitures, structured financings, bond offerings and non-recourse project financings. He has completed dozens of engagements covering financial advisory, capital raising and buy- and sell-side M&A. During his career, Mr. Stone developed and managed fixed income platforms for two leading U.S. commercial banks, gaining significant transactional experience across the capital spectrum. Over his 30-year career, Mr. Stone has developed deep relationships with a vast array of capital providers and investors spanning development equity, strategic financial partners, tax equity, lending institutions and global infrastructure funds.
Over the last 12 years Mr. Stone has focused on the energy and renewable energy space advising clients regarding growth initiatives and capital formation. As a trusted advisor, Mr. Stone has executed dozens of assignments involving financial partnerships and equity products and raising billions of dollars of debt capital through highly structured project finance offerings. Mr. Stone’s transaction experience spans almost every renewable energy generation type including solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, biomass and battery storage.
Outside of renewable energy, Mr. Stone also brings significant transaction experience and expertise for large infrastructure projects including stadium financings, shipping, waste-water facilities and various privately-owned social impact projects.
Prior to joining FTI Capital Advisors, Mr. Stone spent over 10 years as Managing Director at Bostonia Partners in their Sustainable Infrastructure Group. During that time, he developed and led the firm’s renewable energy business and directed the origination, structuring and raising of capital for over 1GW of energy projects. He also oversaw a variety of sale mandates relating to both on-going businesses and power producing assets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Stone developed and managed Wells Fargo’s Private Debt Group, covering over 35 regional bank offices and executing on dozens of private debt offerings for the bank’s clients. Mr. Stone led a similar initiative at Fleet Bank prior to its merger with Bank of America.
