Shan Lin

Shan Lin has more than 15 years of tax and accounting experience. Mr. Lin specializes in providing tax consulting and compliance services to high-net-worth multigenerational families. Mr. Lin is currently overseeing the day-to-day on the tax compliance side of some of the largest client engagements on the tax team, including engagement delivery, client contacts, work supervision/review and billing.

Mr. Lin has extensive U.S. tax experience in personal, fiduciary, gift and foreign aspect reporting. His client base is diverse, primarily serving individuals and families in real estate, private equity and professional service industrials. He is responsible for various aspects of federal, state and international tax issues, including government audit and the review of individual, partnership, fiduciary and nonprofit tax returns. Mr. Lin also works with a variety of U.S. citizens and foreign individuals living both in the U.S. and abroad and assists on the proper U.S. tax compliance on their foreign assets.

Mr. Lin’s career highlights include successfully assisting his client on over a billion dollars of 965 repatriation foreign income reporting and annual 5471 filings for thousands of foreign corporations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Lin worked at a public accounting firm where he was involved in tax and accounting advisory services for owners of closely held businesses.
