Adam Berry is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in New York, where he leads the Data & Analytics (“D&A”) practice locally. He has more than 20 years of experience providing risk mitigation services, business intelligence and complex quantitative data analysis to numerous clients involved in antitrust matters, disputes, enforcement action, litigation, investigations, regulatory matters and other critical events and challenges.
Mr. Berry specializes in helping clients to identify, gather and understand key information and data pivotal to quantitative aspects of investigations and litigation. He has managed internal investigations and aided in both criminal and civil matters, providing clients with end-to-end support to mitigate risks, review trends and analyze patterns in financial and operational data. He has advised clients during negotiations with regulatory and enforcement authorities, provided support with litigation issues and settlement analysis and has performed risk and compliance reviews of programs and technology systems as part of remediation plans.
As a structured data expert, Mr. Berry has advised clients facing complex litigation by working with counsel to liaise directly with client IT operations, as well as third-party vendors, to identify and acquire relevant data. His experience includes working with and leading the acquisition of data from enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) and reporting systems, as well as data from various platforms, mainframe databases and other proprietary databases and software. He has deployed machine learning and other advanced analytics to assist with the identification of responsive data. Mr. Berry’s structured data discovery services include the identification, preservation, collection, analysis and production of electronic information.
Mr. Berry has worked on matters involving multi-national companies across a wide variety of industries, including agriculture, banking, e-commerce, engineering, food, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, real-estate and retail. Additionally, his experience includes collection of financial reporting systems, integration of multiple systems into complex financial processes, preservation of voluminous data sources through database design and construction, system reconciliation, process re-engineering and workflow performance improvement. His experience in business intelligence has involved the data mining and analysis of diverse back-end systems, utilization of machine learning concepts and data visualization tools.
