Paul Pritchard has significant experience in providing tax advice to both lenders and borrowers in relation to restructuring and insolvency situations.
Paul's main area of expertise relates to the taxation of corporate treasury (i.e., debt financing and hedging arrangements). Consequently, Paul has advised on tax aspects of several complex debt restructurings over the last ten years. He has also advised on tax due diligence and the structuring of corporate acquisitions and disposals with clients, including listed corporates, private equity, and infrastructure funds. Furthermore, he has also advised several leading football clubs in England and Europe and has a unique experience of football tax issues, including player transfers.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Paul spent over twenty years practicing in UK and international tax at Ernst & Young in London.
Paul holds B.A. and M.Eng. degrees in Engineering from Cambridge University and is both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
