Caroline Parker

Caroline Parker has over 20 years of experience in international communications consultancy in developed and emerging markets. She has overseen the management and strategic development of clients’ global and regional communications programmes via multi-country client teams on large, complex assignments to deliver commercial success to some of the world’s most recognised names by protecting and enhancing brand reputation and value. She joined FTI Consulting in 2005 and is deputy to the South Africa country manager. She works across multiple sectors with South African and global clients.

Caroline has extensive experience working with senior decision makers across a range of stakeholders and integrated disciplines to provide senior counsel and cross border execution of corporate communications, transactions, capital markets activity and crisis communications across international and emerging markets. Caroline counsels senior management on issues to minimise reputational impact during periods of media speculation, industry and regulatory change, in conjunction with public affairs/advocacy initiatives working in highly regulated environments. Caroline also has a long track record devising thought leadership and research campaigns for clients to position them in their industries.

At FTI Consulting, Caroline is a ESG Global Ambassador and one of the task team responsible for the development of the company’s ESG proposition based on their experience working on client mandates. Caroline has worked with listed companies and funders to develop communications around their sustainability strategies and mitigate communications risk around ESG issues, particularly those arising from stakeholder activism.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Caroline worked in the corporate and financial practices of Burson-Marsteller and Weber Shandwick. She started her career working with internet and new media start-ups during the dotcom era, helping bring companies to market by securing funding.

Caroline graduated with a Management and Business honours degree from the University of Reading and also holds the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership Sustainable leadership Management certificate.
