Michael Pollastri is an experienced mining financial analyst and corporate executive who has delivered important outcomes across a range of transaction and strategic circumstances, including feasibility development, project assessments, due diligence, financing transactions and other value-focused corporate actions.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Michael gained three years of experience managing the corporate development function of an ASX-listed mine project developer, where he drove feasibility business cases and contributed to a number of key CFO accountabilities, including valuations, financial analysis and investor relations.
Prior to his corporate experience, Michael spent seven years at KPMG, the majority of those working in transaction services, specializing in natural resources. Michael's key capabilities include corporate and operational leadership, complex financial modelling, commercial analysis and project evaluation, business improvement and operational readiness.
Relevant Experience:
- Led buy- and sell-side due diligence advisory engagements and initial public offering (“IPO”) readiness and assistance to private equity and strategic buyers
- Developed a range of financial models, including mining feasibility studies models
- Managed and supervised data analytics processes through all phases of the engagement life cycle
- Supported post-acquisition integrations and separations
- Worked across the investor relations function for large ASX-listed companies
