About Cheryl
Cheryl Warren is a healthcare executive with 30 years of extensive leadership experience in major academic medical centers and community hospitals. Ms. Warren has excellent management and operational experience with a focus on throughput and operations. In addition, she brings strong problem analysis and resolution skills and an acute ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ms. Warren is committed to the delivery of compassionate, professional healthcare.
As a healthcare business transformation practice leader, Ms. Warren has significant experience providing strategic counsel to clients navigating a financial restructuring or reorganization, primarily surrounding clinical operations. She has also developed and implemented progressive clinical care delivery models to achieve high-quality and efficient patient care delivery. Additionally, Ms. Warren has experience leading aggressive strategies for clinical revenue cycle optimization, including length-of-stay (“LOS”) reduction, appeals management and observation rate reduction.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Warren served as the vice president of clinical support services at Melrose Wakefield Healthcare. In this role, her responsibilities included clinical support services, ambulatory and case management. Additionally, she managed the geriatric community advanced practice nurse (“APN”) program, utilization management, social work and post-acute care transitions.
Ms. Warren also serves as the president of the Massachusetts chapter of the American Case Management Association (“ACMA”). She holds a B.S. in nursing with high honors from Curry College, as well as a M.S. from Regis College in nursing administration. In addition, Ms. Warren received her Registered Nurse diploma from St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center School of Nursing.
Relevant Experience:
- Led the implementation of integration initiatives with annual financial impact of more than $120 million across all workstreams
- Supported medical group leadership in implementing initiatives with annual impact more than $8 million and identified and planned for the achievement of an additional $8 million in resource integration
- Navigated bondholder negotiations by assisting with the communication and development of financial forecasts
