John C. Stiffler

John C. Stiffler leads FTI Consulting’s Data and Technology Transformation practice and co-leads the firm’s IT Transactions practice. Mr. Stiffler advises financial sponsors, operating teams and corporate strategics in diligence and large-scale IT transitions.

Mr. Stiffler is an expert at setting strategic visions, establishing new businesses, transforming operations for profitable growth and converting deals into shareholder value. His skillset covers business strategy, digital transformation, organizational design, operational transformation and implementation management.

Mr. Stiffler advises both corporate and private equity M&A sponsors on key growth-oriented technology challenges. His experience spans the entire deal life cycle, in addition to post-close transformation planning across industries in both North America and Europe. He has led more than 1,500 IT due diligence and post-close planning and execution projects over the course of his career.

Relevant Experience:

• Directed over 150 carve-out to integrated IT diligence projects for more than 70 private equity and corporate clients
• Led an integration management office (“IMO”) for more than 50 post-close integration projectsDeveloped strategic IT plans for over 150 separate business entities across a number of industry verticals, many of which resulted from a merger or integration
• Served on 10 project-based boards designed to manage and control overall integration project success
• Assisted with the implementation of more than 100 IT roadmaps including enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) selections, ERP implementations, business intelligence design and development, IT governance development and IT organization design
