Lewin Higgins-Green leads FTI Consulting’s Employment Tax & Reward offering in the UK within EMEA Tax Advisory. Lewin has more than 15 years of experience providing advice on all aspects of people-related taxation and incentive arrangements to employers and other businesses operating both in the UK and with internationally mobile individuals.

Lewin has advised a wide range of clients across various sectors on all tax and reward issues relating to employees and management. His work has included advising on the tax implications of employee expenses and benefits, termination payments, and inducement payments including payroll compliance and HMRC compliance activity. Lewin has also advised employers on employment status for tax purposes and off-payroll working.

In addition to advising clients in respect of domestic UK employees, Lewin has expertise in respect to internationally mobile employees, covering residence and domicile positions, inpatriate and temporary workplace relief, international double taxation issues and international social security.

In the private equity sector, Lewin provides specialist advice on carried interest and co-invest structures and tax implications.

Lewin has assisted many clients in the planning and operation of share schemes (both tax-approved and unapproved) and other long-term incentive plans, including the design of plan rules and tax considerations, assistance with plan implementation and communications and related tax valuation and compliance activities (including the disguised remuneration rules).
